Relief.

Whenever I say I'm going to make a post "later," you should read that as "I intend to do it later but I'm probably going to get distracted and entirely forget." The real problem was, I didn't scan the finished piece until tonight. Here we go!

Relief.

This will be at Teeny Tiny #8 in February at Three Graces. Which is a lovely little gallery in Portsmouth, NH. If you're in the area and haven't been yet, I highly recommend it!

In which we begin to unfold.

In which we begin to unfold.

This took a while because everything is tiny & detailed. There's some things that probably wouldn't be noticed on the first glance. Like:

(It's hard to tell, but this is gold thread sewn around the word.)

A summary.

There are few things more satisfying than completing a piece after hours and hours of work. Even more satisfying is when I'm 100% happy with it. This is officially going to be my favourite piece in the Philly show, and is on my list of favourite drawings ever. I'll be sad to let it go. It means a lot, and I didn't mess it up!

A summary.

Temporarily untitled.

I think I might be doing something awesome with this. I also have the most perfect thrifted gold frame to put it in.

Test. (This title might be changed.)

I keep forgetting to remind you local faces that there's a show tomorrow! It's a big group effort, so come see if you can!

Seacoast Redefined

This particular area of New Hampshire is plagued by boring landscape paintings and even more boring photography of prescious scenes. This is a way for artists who have had to deal with this for most all their lives to give their spin on how they view the area.

Joy.

I am exhausted, my eyes hurt, and I'm way behind schedule, but you know what? Even if all of my other pieces end up sucking, it won't matter because of this one. This is only a corner of it (I'm going to draw something else on another corner of the paper, I haven't decided what yet), but I'm happy with it. More than happy with it.. and the scan doesn't even do it justice. (I'm allowed to be annoyingly pleased with a piece, considering how often I dislike most everything else that I do!)

Untitled (vivir).
