Announcements!
Hi, I'm still bad at updating this business, despite my personal resolution to post more. A couple of things:
1. I AM FINALLY CAUGHT UP ON SENDING ON MAIL. INCLUDING ZINES. A batch went out last week, and the last went out yesterday! I included a little extra something with each, because I'm sorry to keep some of you waiting. You are amazing for being patient with me.
2. I added a few things to the etsy shop yesterday, including custom moleskines (which are the only custom drawings other than feathers I like doing for people these days), and wrist warmers, which I've really been enjoying crocheting lately, because I'm continuing to turn into an old lady.
3. Here are a couple of pieces that will be in ETA 7. There's 6 total, and I'll show you the last of them after I email the images to the gallery this weekend:

"And when I leave I am not coming back."

I started a tumblr to post more sketches/commentary/etc than I do here: http://cassymakesart.tumblr.com

Larger, once.
I AM OFFICIALLY DONE WITH THE NATURESUPERNATURE SHOW DRAWINGS! Words can not contain how much joy I'm feeling right now, as I put off this very last drawing until the last possible moment (tonight, since everything needs to be dropped off tomorrow), and I really had to force myself to do it, but even so I think it turned out pretty okay! Exclamation point, exclamation point!
I'll make a big post with all of the pieces that will be in the show/for sale as soon as I find out when ellO is ready to sell them. Yes, you'll have to contact them, not me, so of course I'll include their info as well.

Now I just have to crop and mat a few things, write my artist's statement, and type out all of the titles/info for the gallery. SO CLOSE YET SO FAR. This is definitely the high point of a very sucky week.
Next project: The BaileyWorks bag.

Muerte.
Okay, this is my second.. maybe third.. favourite piece for the show (I only have one left to finish by Friday, hooray!). And I promise this is the last "offensive" thing I'll be posting for a while. I had originally sketched out a cat skeleton on this paper, but last night I decided that I wasn't really into it, and began this instead. I'm glad that I did.
I'm pretty disappointed in the scan though. I hope someone at the show takes photos. Oh, and I think I noted this before, but this isn't the entire page - it doesn't fit in my scanner, but the important part is clearly there. The sheet is dated December 5th, 1957, so I was a bit nervous working on it. The left edge that you can't see is torn and singed (not by me), the top left has some ancient looking dirt, and there is an equally ancient looking watermark at the bottom. I love all of the secret history in this.

Close (the pinkish colour is more accurate here):

But as time goes, perhaps it is not long.

Sea unicorn.

1. I feel quiet today.
2. I didn't get nearly as much done this weekend as I wanted to. As much as I enjoy my favourite bike-nerdy visitor, I have a hard time making art around other people so I end up being 97% unproductive when he's here.
3. I've created a "guilty pleasure" station on pandora that consists mostly of pop punk. I understand if this makes you abandon our e-friendship.

I like bunnies.
I don't usually post the cutesy stuff that people have me do.. because, frankly, I'm not really a fan. But I don't hate this.

And for good measure, here is my new crush:

(Note to new readers, this blog is more or less a carbon copy of my livejournal.)
